Retrieving

A gundogs natural instinct is to retrieve. Retrieving Trials provide a perfect avenue for these dogs to express their natural ablilities, have fun and exercise.
Our sport simulates hunting conditions where the dogs ability to retrieve is tested over various terrain and conditions commonly found in hunting scenarios. The dogs are asked to retrieve Dokken Dead Fowl Trainer (artificial game) from anything from dams or creeks to thick marsh or sparse paddocks.

RATG .. Retrieving Ability Test For Gundogs

This competition is a mixture of retrieving & obedience abilities for your gundog ... without the gun. Competitors are required to show obedience skills with heeling & recalls then 2 marked retrieves (for Novice, a little more difficult for Open).
This allows your to get your dog ready for both obedience & retrieving trials. I am training to be a judge because RATG is a great place to start! Contact me if you would like more information.

Obedience

Ipswich Dog Obedience Club provides the perfect avenue for you to learn how to train your dog to become a well behaved member of your family, (most of the time). We provide assistance with obedience & agility training. From these classes you can continue on to trialing or to just enjoy your well mannered four legged companion.
